Notes on Community League Play

The Community League's 36 hole Individual Flighted Tournament got underway this last week.  Leaders after nine holes are Short Jeffers and Mike Bird, each shooting 36's, in A Flight; Mike Arvin at 37 in B Flight; Gary LaMar and Tyson Stoll share the lead in C Flight with 42's; Paul Weisheit in D Flight with a 45; and Sharon Frye in E Flight with a score of 51.  In regular season action, low scores for the week were turned in by Mike Arvin with a low net of 30; a tie for low gross with Mike Bird and Short Jeffers each at 36; and also a tie for low net team score, Mike Arvin and Scott Schutte equaling Mike Seals and Paul Weisheit at 66.  With three weeks to go in the Community League's season, Dale Yoder and Allen Yoder, at 185 points, have an 18 point lead in team competition.  Gary LaMar and Terry LaMar sit in second place at 167 points with Short and Shirley Jeffers in third at 165 points.  In individual competition, Allen Yoder, with a round of 43 gross, net 33 and a pick up of 46 points, continues to hold the top position with 413 points.  Gary LaMar, in second place some 38 points back, also earned 46 points with a round of 42.  Tyson Stoll, in third place, shot a gross 42, net 32 to collect 50 points for the week.  Group average gross score for the week was 43.93, up a little over a stroke from the previous week's 42.87.
