The Individual Flighted Tournament is now three weeks down with one more to go with battles going on for the top spot in each of the five flights. In the A+ Flight, Mike Kidwell has put together three rounds of 35 to lead Dave Wininger by one stroke and Mark Potts by two and son Trenton by four. In the A Flight, Terry Butcher shot a a round of 35 this week, and leads Derek Gilbertson, who shot a 40, and Terry Padgett (37 this week), by three strokes. In B Flight, Greg Potts, who carded a 37 to go along with an earlier 38 and a second 37, has a comfortable four stroke lead over Terry Lamar. Larry Sutton, with rounds of 37, 40 and 39, is up three on his closest rival, Mike Breeden, in C Flight. In D Flight, Brent Courter takes a one stroke lead over Tim Voegerl into the final week; Bric Parker, two back, and Virgil Harper, three back, shot themselves into contention with rounds of 39 and 38 respectively. In E Flight, Mike Strawn is five strokes up on Charlie Sheetz.
Low scores for this week's play were posted by Trenton Kidwell with a gross of 34 that included an eagle at four and a birdie at five; Virgil Harper's gross 39 netted out at a nifty 28 for the low in that category; and Virgil and Terry LaMar's 62 was the low team score. Hole prizes were claimed by Brent Courter, Short Jeffers and Mike Kidwell on the par threes; and by Mark Jones, Allan Harmon and Chad Wade on the long putts. League leaders with three weeks to go in the season are Curt Johnson and Bric Parker in the team competition and Bric Parker in the individual competition. The top spot in each competition remains extremely volatile with multiple teams and players poised to take over with the slightest slip of the 'leaders-of-the-week'.
