Notes on Community League Play

At the three quarter mark in the Individual Flighted Tournament, Mike Bird enjoys a six stroke lead over Ken Wagler in the A Flight while Mike Arvin has a two stroke lead over Scott Schutte and an three stroke lead over Eric Bird and Clint Knepp in B Flight.  In C Flight, Ken Frye leads Gary LaMar by two strokes and in D Flight, Virgil Harper has a single stroke lead over Paul Weisheit.  In E Flight, Sharon Frye leads Shirley Jeffers by a whopping fifteen strokes.  Low scores for the week were turned in by Tyson Stoll and Shirley Jeffers with five under pars for low net; by Ken Wagler and Mike Bird with 36's for low gross; and by the team of Ken and Sharon Frye with a low 62 in the team net category.  With one week to go in the season, Dale Yoder and Allen Yoder have a 21 point lead over Mike Arvin and Scott Schutte in team competition.  The LaMar Brothers, Gary and Terry, sit in third place another three points back.  In individual competition, Allen Yoder has an all but insurmountable lead of 31 points over Gary LaMar in second place.  Tyson Stoll sits in third place, some 46 points out of the top spot.  The group's average gross score for the week was 43.76, more than a stroke higher than last week's season low of 42.69.  Complete results and standings for the league here.
