Gary Knepp rolled in a twelve foot putt from off the green for par at the third hole to get things started for his fellow teammates, Mike Bird, Karry Stoll and Joe Allen. Karry Stoll's drive and approach shot on hole four gave the team an easy two putt for their first birdie. Joe Allen ran in a ten footer at #5 for the second while Gary Knepp's eagle putt from 30 feet hit the cup and bounced away but left an easy birdie at six. Mike Bird sank a 15 foot putt at seven and also stuck one close at #8 that led to Knepp's draining of a 3 footer for the last of the five birds. The foursome tied the team of James Hager, Wayne Souerdike and Spenser Souerdike with a score of 30 and won the tie breaking card draw by Pam Byron. Two other teams participated in the scramble. Dave Wininger, Steve Norman, Larry Hembree and Curt Johnson finished at two under par while Short Jeffers, Tracy Rayhill, Greg Potts and Kevin Byron shot four under par, one shot shy of the winning score.
