With the addition of Spenser Souerdike and three birdies, it was May 14th all over again. Short Jeffers, Joe Allen and Kevin Byron, along with Spenser, teamed up to storm the gates and walk away with the scramble trophy at Lakeview yesterday. Three weeks ago, on May 14th, the three won with a score of 31; this time, using the same tactics - solid golf without any individual heroics, they shot a 28 and bested their nearest competitors by two strokes. Dave Wininger, Mike Bird, Mike Arvin and Bryant Trambaugh were second with a score of 30, while Terry Butcher, Wayne Souerdike, Terry LaMar and Mike McLaughlin had the third best round with a 33. Two other teams were in the hunt: Stan Graber, Jake Divine, Larry Hembree and Curt Johnson fired an even par round of 30. Trenton Kidwell, Weston Muessig and Trey Kidwell were the players on the fifth team in the competition.
