Yesterday's play saw multiple birdie raining down on several of the Tuesday Men with Derek Gilbertson leading the group with four of them at holes 2, 4, 6 and 8. James Hager picked up three birds, at 4, 5 and 6, and tied Terry Butcher at 34 for the low gross round of the day. Terry also had three birds, at holes 2, 4 and 6. Two bird men were Tracy Rayhill, Curt Johnson, Dan Jones, Dave Wininger and Tom Walker, who started his second straight sub 40 round with birds. Josh Hawkins, with a round of 36, had a single bird but also the only eagle of the day. The low net score of the day was claimed by Curt Johnson with a 26 on a gross of 39, also his second straight sub 40 round. Charlie Lyon's net 28 was good for second in low net; he, too, had a second straight sub 40 round. Johnson and partner Tyler Walton combined for the low team score with a 57. Hole prizes were claimed by Skip Ackerman, who sank a long putt at #4 and stuck one close at #7; by James Hager and Phil Eyler with close to the pin shots, and by Derek Gilbertson and Joe Allen with long putts. Team leaders John Walker and Skip Ackerman shot a net 67 on the day and lead Johnson and Walton by 19 points in the standings. Tom Walker and Mike Bird are 23 points from the top and in third place. Tom Walker's net 31 got him 105 points on the day and leaves him in 1st place in the Individual standings. Jake Divine and Dan Jones also had 105 point efforts and are in second and third place in the standings, 12 and 66 points from the top. At the three quarter mark in the Individual Handicapped Tournament, Tom Walker remains in first place with a score of 14 under par. Gary LaMar is second at minus 11, and Kevin Byron and Mitch Jeffers are tied for third at nine under par.
