A regular event today even though the other two leagues are playing only the mid season scramble this week. As you probably remember, we had a scheduling glitch which was corrected by adding another date to the calendar. Thursday Leaguers are still eligible to play in the scramble but must do it outside of the regularly scheduled event through this Saturday).
And we have news guys wearing the 'top-of-the-heap' jackets today, at least in the team competition. John Chapman and Dick Barber climbed into first place last week and lead Pam Byron and Patty Bowling by 1.5 points. Patty does still hold onto the top position in the individual standings though Richard Lemmon, Jack Butcher, Jack Lents and Mike McLaughlin are close enough to catch her if she falters.
Weather is beautiful; course is in great condition. Best pack up your A game and come on down, all you Thursday Leaguers.
Btw, Dane Mosby and Ed Summers are filling the team 16 slots today and Denny Wagoner and Larry Sutton are taking care of the team 15 slots.
