Bits and Pieces: The Ladies In Incheon, Tiger,

-The lady pro golfers are through round one at the LPGA HanaBank Championship in Incheon.  Yani Tseng leads at -7 with defending champ Na Yeon Choi two back.  Michelle Wie is tied for 38th with an even par round.

-Tiger Woods had a great first hole in his return to competition yesterday, sticking his approach shot to a couple of feet of the pin where he rolled in the putt for a birdie.  After that things did not go so well as he stumbled his way to a two over 73, six strokes back of the leaders and in a tie for 86th.  Of course, a missed putt here, a missed putt there, and then that lost ball on his second shot into #12...  It could have easily been a much different and more glorious round for TW.  Here's hoping his second round is a whole bunch better.

-Tiger's return got me thinking of Michael Jordan sometime yesterday and his spectacular return to the NBA in 1995.  It was the Bulls vs the Knicks, actually his 5th game back, that was so dramatic.  In that game, he scored 55 points and was his usual brilliant self.  Btw, did you remember that it was against the Pacers that he played the 1st game of his return?

-Another beautiful day for golf and it looks like that kind of weather is here for a while.  Best make the most of it.
