Wayne Souerdike and Larry Hembree teamed up and fired an even par round of 35 at Lakeview Saturday morning. That was two strokes better than their closest competition and gave them the weekly scramble bragging rights. The twosome found birds at both the second hole and the ninth hole (a solo effort by Hembree with a tee shot to six feet and then the birdie putt) to offset bogeys at the first and seventh holes. Junior Byron and Joe Allen posted a 37 to finish second while Greg Potts and Kevin Byron finished with a three over 38. Mike Bird and Jerry Pedro found only three pars over the nine holes and finished with a dismal score of 41 in the cool and windy conditions.
