Bits and Pieces

-Brent Kelley reminds Greg Norman of his controversial pick of Adam Scott in 2009 who, Kelley says, was playing more poorly than the 2011 TW.  Norman recently said he would never have picked Tiger and that Freddie Couples was wrong in picking him.  Expect Norman would respond by saying that's ancient history and has nothing to do with what's going on now.  Beg to differ, Gregory.

-Big Boys are playing down in Florida today in the Children's Miracle Network Hospitals Classic.  The big story: the race for the money crown between Luke Donald and Webb Simpson.

-Big Girls are playing over in Taiwan at the Sunrise LPGA Taiwan Championship.  Yani Tseng, the World's #1 and playing in her home country, shares the lead after the first round with Ai Miyazato.  Each had four under rounds of 68.  Photos and videos at Bangkokbobby's Fairways and Forehands blog.  Btw, Michelle Wie is not participating in this tournament.

-Us local guys get to take another day off with rain, wind and low temperatures sticking around for yet another day.  Better stuff tomorrow with sunshine returning and a high of 58.

-Volleyball sectionals kick off tonight at the JBA.  Vincennes Rivet plays Shoals at 6 with Washington Catholic taking on #1 ranked and undefeated Barr Reeve around 8.  The winners play Saturday morning at 11 with the #3 Loogootee Lions facing the Cougars from North Daviess around 1pm.  Championship game Saturday night.  More here from the John Mullen article at the Loogootee Tribune's website.

-The Cougar football team goes up against Tecumseh in the first game of the sectionals tomorrow night.

-And here's something to spend some time on as you wait for the weather to clear, or whatever:  The top 50 lady golfers of all time.
