Bits and Pieces: September Chalenge Update, St. John's Youth Group Scramble, etc.

-Here's an update of the September Challenge with all but two of the teams having posted their alternate shot scores.  Have through the end of play today to post them.  Also, the Best Ball game starts today and runs through next Sunday (remember to play with another team or have a witness play with you to verify your scoring).  Current leaders: Rob Graber and Clint Knepp who shot a brilliant gross 34 on their Alternate Shot game and have a two game net score of 58.33, 11.67 strokes under par.

-The St. John's Youth Group is having its annual scramble today starting at 1:30.  Shirley Jeffers is expecting 40 players to participate in the nine hole event.

-The Irish did crush the Boilermakers last night.  They looked very sharp in the lopsided win with a score of 38-10 (South Bend Tribune's write-up here).   A big night for the offense with Rees, Floyd, Wood and Gray all putting up stellar numbers.  And, by golly, no turnovers!
