-Colts looked good last night and win big, too! The Manning Bowl turned out to be a blowout.
-Irish look good on Saturday, at least the offense. Too bad they had to lose on a trick play. Expect somebody missed an assignment. New coach starts his first season one and two. Not exactly what us Domers were looking for...
-Learned from Wayne Souerdike that his team, as well as the one I played on, birdied the last two holes last Saturday morning to get to six under in the SM Scramble. Tracy Rayhill did the honors for our team (Greg Potts was the third player) when he rolled in two lengthy putts at #8 and #9. Of course, the one that mattered was the twenty footer by Lee Wininger to get his team to seven under on their last hole (they parred their second-to-last hole).
-September Challenge enters its second week. Here's the by League breakdown:
-Tuesday Men's League: 14 teams
-Thursday Match Play League: 10 teams
-Community League: 6 teams
The sixty players try their luck at alternate shot this week. The leaders after week one, Mike Arvin and Noah Callahan, came out and got their round in yesterday.
-Learned from Hannah that the Lion volleyball team plays Washington and Barr Reeve this week. Just might be able to get to one or both of them what with the dark closing in on us a little bit earlier every day.
-Plenty of light right now - good time to head to the golf course - for a walk and to see what the herons are doing - got at least three of them chasing each other out there.
