With eighteen holes in the books and nine yet to play, the leaders in Lakeview's post season September Challenge are Tom McAtee and John Drake. The two have an 18 hole score of 59.67. In second place is the team of Mike Bird and Jack Lents at an even 60. Billy Trabant and Duane Wagler sit in third with a 62 for their 18 holes. Low gross scores for the Alternate Shot game played this last week were turned in by Trenton Kidwell and Tyler Kidwell, and Ken Wagler and Jeremy Graber, each team with one under 34's. Three teams tied for the low net score of 31.33: Ken Wagler and Jeremy Graber, Tom McAtee and John Drake, and Dave Brown and Dick Lemmon.
The thirty teams in the competition will play Best Ball in the third and final round this week.
Jack Nickless joined up with Mark and Greg Potts and shot a nine hole round of five under to win the Saturday Morning Scramble out at Lakeview yesterday. Three other teams competed with scores ranging from one under to four under on a day when the birdies and eagles were hard to come by.
