Wininger, Souerdike and Wininger Win Mini-Scramble

The rains stopped this morning just before nine o'clock and the Saturday Morning Scramble at Lakeview got underway.  Five golfers showed up for the event with Dave Wininger, Wayne Souerdike and Lee Wininger shooting a very nifty 29 to swamp Mike Bird and Junior Byron by four strokes.  Up by two strokes after four holes (the group started on hole #6), the winners then got hot with Wayne Souerdike plugging his approach on #1 at the one inch mark, Dave Wininger chipped to a foot at #2, and followed that with a tee shot at #3 to three feet.  All resulted in birds and was followed by the more routine bird at #4 - long drive, second shot to the collar, run at the flag for an eagle and then the tap in for bird - for their fourth in a row.  A par at #5 concluded their scoring.
