Yet another super morning to play golf - might even be a great day for 18 holes rather than just the nine in league. Today is week three of the Individual Flighted Tournament - bring your A game, leave the jitters in the back seat of the car (btw, a little adrenalin is a good thing - use it as a positive rather than as the negative it is so often portrayed), and have fun with the guys you are trying to take to the cleaners.
The race for the top spot in the individual standings for the regular season remains way too close to call. The top nine still have a realistic shot at the title; the top five (Bateman, Kavanaugh, Bird, Brown and Barber) much more probable. The guy in the driver's seat - the guy at the top - Jim Bateman. (He and Wilma have been getting a lot of holes in lately.)
Coming up after play next week is the pitch in lunch that caps the season.
Coming up after the conclusion of league play - the September Challenge.
And don't forget Mike Anderson's Lakeview/Country Oaks East-West Challenge. Sign-up sheet in the clubhouse.
