Tuesday Men's League Event 6 Recap

John Walker's round of 35 gave him low net honors for the day, a sterling 27.  It also propelled him and his partner, Skip Ackerman to a two stroke victory in the 36 hole Team Tournament.  Their 15 under par score bested Danny Jones and Lonnie Hawkins who came up just a bit short with their low net team round of the day, a ten under 60.  Finishing third in the tournament with a score of minus 11 was the team of TJ McAtee and Alan Burch.  James Hager had the low gross score for the day, a 34.  Hole prizes were claimed by Chad Wade, Jon Boyd and Mitch Jeffers with close to the pin shots; and by Mike Seals, Lonnie Hawkins and John Drake with long putts.  Walker and Ackerman remain on top of the team standings with 297 points after six events.  Jake Divine and Brandon Inman are in second with 274 points while James Hager and Ryan Johnson sit in third with 256 points.  In the individual competition, Danny Jones jumped into first place after shooting a 38 on the day; that gave him a net 31 and 92 points for his efforts.  His 513 points is five better than Jake Divine's second place total of 505.  Jordan Divine, Skip Ackerman and John Walker round out the top five.  Average score for the Tuesday Men players was 42.98, down from 43.57 of a week ago and the best of the year so far.
