-Tony Wease and Charlie Sheetz (-5) in the Team Handicapped Tournament with Ken Hudson and Junior Byron in second three strokes back. The Virgil Harper/Terry LaMar and Jack Home and Jill Home teams are another stroke back.
-In team competition, Ken Hudson and Junior Byron are at the top and go out against Jack Lents and Mike Bird (me) who sit at the bottom of the pack (yikes!). Two and a half strokes back are Jack Butcher and Rex Hudson; they go up against the guys second from the bottom, Virgil Harper and Terry LaMar. Some of us are looking for a change, me thinks.
-In individual competition, Junior Byron has a slim two stroke lead over Dick Lemmon and a six point lead on Rex Hudson with Charlie Sheetz another stroke back in fourth place.
Weather today - just about perfect with temps in the 50's and 60's during league play (getting up to 78 eventually), sunny and with winds in the brezzy nature.
-Course conditions - mid summer like here in May. Look for some run in the fairways and some hard bouncing on the greens. We could use some rain (during the night, of course) but things look extremely good out there.
-Swing tip for the day: Choose the right club and make a good swing. Pretty simple, right? Yes - know your distance, know your clubs and then commit to what you have come up with.
-Living tip for the day: Be good to yourself and those around you. What the heck, that shouldn't be so hard, especially for us golfers.
