Bird gets an Ace but Kidwell, Allen and Johnson take the trophy

Mike Bird got his second life time hole-in-one at the 9th hole in the Saturday Manager's Scramble but that wasn't quite enough to propel his team to victory. Mike Kidwell, Joe Allen and Curt Johnson covered the course in a measly one under par and that was just enough to beat the contenders. Mike Bird, Wayne Souerdike and Kevin Byron came in at even par as did the team of Junior Byron, Larry Hembree and Joe Doyle. The modified scramble saw the golfers complete the always tough par threes in a combined five over; the normally compliant par fives returned only one birdie; and the usually not so easy number five was birdied by each of the teams.
