The results are posted. Notes I made as the scorecards came in:
Tom McAtee’s birthday, pars #1 but then pays for it with double bogeys on the next two holes. Not a very nice way to treat a birthday boy. Doug Denson turns fifty and wins a match play event down at Victoria National. Eddie Green birdies #7, shoots a 44 gross with a net 35; brother Richie shoots a 56 and a net 36. Tracy Rayhill and Mark Potts had a net 64 as a team, Tracy coming in with a 39 and Mark a 31, both gross, and Mark’s a new low for him. Jared Butcher subs for Joe Doyle, plays with his Dad and fires a 40, twelve strokes better than his last outing - thanks, Dad. Scott Arthur finds a birdie three on hole #5, then pays for it with a triple bogey on #6. Bill Carrico shoots a sterling 42 gross, net 29. George Templin finishes with a birdie on #9 which gave him a net 34 for the day. Dave Strange didn’t roll in a couple of putts as he did a week ago, but he still had a very good round, coming in with a gross 42 and a net 33. Larry Sutton finally finds some improvement in his game, shoots a 40 and a net 31. Mark Sherer found birdies on two and three on his way to a 37; and partner Josh Huff fired a nifty 41 giving the team a super net score of 61. Todd Baker comes in with a birdie on #3 and a sterling round at 38. Most birdies for the day: Mark Potts with four. Most pars at six: TJ McAtee, Alan Burch, Dave Wininger, Steven Downey and Trenton Kidwell. Average gross score was 43.20, down from 43.55 of the previous week. Hole prizes were taken by TJ McAtee, Eddie Green, Ryan Johnson and Dave Wininger. Low gross for the day: Mark Potts' 31; low net: tie at 29 by Bill Carrico and Josh Huff. Low net team: Mark Sherer and Josh Huff at 61. Leaders at the end of the day: Larry Sutton and Brent Courter in Team competition; Noah Callahan in Individual competition.
