The results of the first event for the Community League is now posted. Comments:
The Lakeview Community League started with sixteen teams currently signed up and getting their rounds in this past week. Teams are made up of three father-son combinations, one grandma with her grandson, an uncle and a nephew, one couple and the rest friend-friend pairings. Oldest player at near 85 is super senior Bob Norris, and the youngest is Lucas Bird who is very near 13. Twenty-five percent of the players are ladies. Of note in this week’s play: Bob Norris gets his first birdie in several years, knocking in a six foot putt on #9; Cam Sheetz, a transfer from the USG League of a year ago, shot lot net with a 32 and was closely followed by Ton Taylor’s 33. Bryce Crane and Ben Hogan were two others who finished with sub par net rounds, both coming in with 34’s. Low gross was turned in by Dave Wininger at 38 with Tyler Walton just behind with a 39. Low net team at 67 was earned by Cam Sheetz and newcomer to league play, Missy Kneip; Tom Taylor and Richard Swayze followed with a 68 and Ben and Chris Hogan shot a 69. Four birdies were registered during play: Cam Sheetz, Bob Norris, Kay Sheetz and Bryce Crane. Joe Potts and Dave Wininger got the most pars at six. Average gross score for the group was 49.17.
