Mike Bird and Curt Johnson finished birdie par to finish their nine holes at -2 and win the Saturday Morning Scramble at Lakeview by a single stroke. Aware that Tracy Rayhill and Larry Hembree were in the clubhouse with a -1, the wining duo used Bird's drive, approach and 15 foot putt to birdie #2, their eighth hole, and then Johnson's tee shot, very nifty chip from off the green to a foot, and then the tap in to take the trophy. Also competing were Wayne Souerdike and Larry Sutton who finished at +1, and Spenser Souerdike and Joe Allen who took a +4 on their second hole, the fifth, and finished at +4.
