Today's event marks the midway point in the team competition and two teams are way out in front. Ken Hudson and Junior Byron lead it all with 71 points and Jack Butcher and Rex Hudson are in second at 65.5 points Ten points back of Butcher and Hudson are Tony Wease and Charlie Sheetz, and the rest are even further back with Pam Byron and Anna Mosby, at 38 points, some 33 points from the top (they did get a whopping ten points last week so maybe they are turning their season around).
The leaders, Hudson and Byron, go up against team 12 today. Wayne Pearl will be down to fill one half of that team. Butcher and Hudson take on Frank and Susan Fee who are looking for a little redemption. Tony Wease and Charlie Sheetz, the Team Tournament champions take on Jack Lents and me and we're looking for some redemption as well. Dave Strange, the surprising leader of the Individual standings, is expected to be out for Team 10, our Elliott/Gray team, and will face Dick Lemmon and Dave Brown.
Course conditions and the weather are near perfect. Just pack up your A game and head on out and see if you can pick up some of those birds and pars that are sitting all over the place.
Tip for the day: Find your rhythm early, make good swings, have fun. No plus seven or eight or nine over net par allowed today.
