-Coming up: Week three of the Inidvidual Handicapped Tournament. Current leaders:
-Tuesday Men: Tie: Karry Stoll and Mark Sutton, each at -11.
-Thursday Match: Pam Byron at -9.
-Community League: Jonathan Stoll at -7.
-Gross rounds of the week: Mark Potts (not Kevin Johnson as reported in an earlier version of this post) (Tues Men) and Mike Bird (Thurs Match) with sterling 33's. Chris Bledsoe, Kevin Johnson and Dave Wininger, all Tuesday Men, had 34's.
-Net rounds of the week: Tie at 29: Chris Jones and Karry Stoll playing in the Community League, and Larry Sutton in the Tuesday Men's League.
-Net Team rounds of the week: Mark Sutton and Chris Bledsoe (Tues Men) with a nifty 61; Jack Lents and Mike Bird (Thurs Match) with a 63.
-Regular Season Team Competition leaders: Mike Arvin and Scott Arthur continue to excell and lead the Tuesday Men but have the Terry Butcher and Rob Sterling team nipping at their heels. An equally fierce competition is taking place in the Thursday League with Ken Hudson and Junior Byron on top and Jack Butcher and Rex Hudson breathing down their necks. Still early in the Community League (four events in the books) with Karry Stoll and JD Simmons barely leading the Kemp Brothers, Jonathan and Jeremiah. Still plenty of time for any number of teams to rise up and take over in each of the leagues.
-Regular Season Individual Competition leaders: Mike Arvin, Rob Sterling, Terry Butcher, Mark Jones and Wayne Souerdike are the top five in the Tuesday Men's League - with over 100 points available in each event, this league is the most volatile of the three and sudden changes can be expected at the top. That said, Mike Arvin has been spending some time up there. Need a break, Mike?
Dave Strange over in the Thursday Match Play League has been on top almost from the get-go. Still, Charlie Sheetz, Richard Lemmon and Pam Byron are close enough to take his place if he stumbles and they happen to have a good outing.
Chris Jones sits at the top in the Community League with Jonathan Kemp and league newcomers Lamar Graber and JD Simmons within striking distance.
Weather for the week continues on the dry side (some chance of rain this afternoon - would be nice to get some; hope you enjoyed the very widely scattered showers we had last night around seven). Fairways definitely showing the stress of such little moisture. Your ball sure does run a bunch though.
