-Correction to Saturday night's expected regional championship game: North Daviess vs Trinity Luthern. Eric reminded me that Wood Memorial beat Loogootee early in the year. They also lost to North Daviess, Vincennes Rivet and Barr Reeve, along with eight other teams in an eleven loss season. Looks like the times of the games are 10:30 and 12:15 for the day games, 8 for the evening game. Site: Jack Butcher Arena. I fully expect North Daviess to advance to the semi state.
-From Mostly Harmless: Future Hall of Famers? He gives Michelle Wie and Cristie Kerr odds of 3-1 in making it. Jiyai Shin, Paula Creamer and Yani Tseng are locks, in his opinion. I certainly agree with him on Yani and Jiyai; but Paula Creamer? He does admit that she is his favorite player.
-March 7th Rolex Rankings for the ladies. Yani Tseng on top and will probably stay there for a long while. Julie Inkster is #44 - that surprises me; seems like she is always hanging around the top of the leaderboard. Guess not; just noteworthy when she is there because of her age. Laura Davies, another oldie, is #48. Ladies from Korea and the USA dominate the top 25 with Korea having nine and the USA seven. Japan is well represented with four in the top 25.
-Tiger's Jupiter Island Practice Facility. Just 3.5 acres. Couldn't we build one of those around here? Think it's been done - Lloyd Mosby had about that many acres devoted to his three or four hole golf facility up there in Bramble. Wonder how many other golfers TW invites over to practice with him. If he ever asked me, I would suggest we just head to the golf course and play 18 instead (for flags and skins, of course). What better practice can you have than to get out there and play?
