Bits and Pieces

-Tiger has another good Sunday (-6 to finish at -8, 25 putts) and finishes in the top ten, 8 strokes behind winner Nick Watney.   Looking like the old Tiger but, as has been said before, takes four good rounds in a tournament.  His playmates of the first two days, Graeme McDowell and Phil Mickelson, had a not so good weekends, finishing at +1 and +4 for the tournament.  Ouch.

-Congrats to Coach Dalrymple and the North Daviess Cougars on their regional win in Loogootee Saturday night and good luck to them as they go on to play Indianapolis Metro in the semi-state next Saturday in Southport at 1pm.

-In case you haven't noticed, March Madness gets underway this week.  That would be the college version of something Hoosiers experience at the high school level from mid February to the latter part of March.  Men's bracketWomen's bracket.

-Interesting stuff (from Diane): This year's July has 5 Fridays 5 Saturdays and 5 Sundays.  This apparently happens once every 823 years.  I wonder how many people can arrange for five three day weekends.

-Extra hour of daylight with Sunday's clock change.  With rain and cool don't expect we'll take advantage of it today but maybe later in the week when temperatures soar into the 60's.  Hurray.

-Getting on with the day:  Books, movies, taxes.  Wonder what other fun things I can find along the way.
