Bits and Pieces

-Cougars fall to Metro on Saturday in semi state.  Congrats on a great season up at North Daviess.  Coach Dalrymple and the players did super.

-Irish get kicked in the face by Florida State late last night.  There goes my pick for the champion.  Dang.  Still, even with all the upsets yesterday, ended up on top at day's end at the Romper Stopmers.  One point up on Butler student, Kayla Wininger, and six points up on Kevin and Miki in St. Louis (the 'lambs-going-to-the-slaughter' non basketball fans in the game for the fun of it!).  Switching my allegiance to the feisty Bulldogs of Butler.  The Irish women play Temple tonight in a second round game over in the Women's tournament.

-At the play for charity LPGA event down in Phoenix, Karrie Webb won her second tournament in a row with a six under final round, nipping Paula Creamer and Brittany Lincicome by one stroke.  KIA Classic coming up this week.

-Lots of golfers at Lakeview yesterday.  Course is drying out very nicely and the grass is definitely popping up.  More golf today with temps in the 70's though with a chance of rain - didn't see anything on the radar; must be going to pop up on us.  Guess I'll head on over there and open up, maybe practice my chipping.
