Bits and Pieces

-Watched the Notre Dame Ladies sock it to the #1 seeded Tennessee Ladies last night, beating the Vols for the first time ever (after 20 losses) and punching their ticket to the Final Four in Indy next week (Sunday and Tuesday).  Skylar Diggins, the super soph for the Irish, was the star of the show, scoring 24 points and playing super all around. More on her in this article by espn's Graham Hays.

-Stanford also is going to the Final Four, for the fourth straight year.  They beat Gonzaga last night to advance.  Tonight, UConn plays Duke and Baylor takes on Texas A&M for the other two slots.

-There was a Woods who won a tournament this past weekend.  That would be Tiger's niece, Cheyenne, who helped her Wake Forest University teammates win a tournament being played in North Carolina.  The story from Emily Kay.

-Wonder if Phil Mickelson has a better chance of winning this year's Masters than does Tiger?  He is the guy with the green jacket afterall.  Betting odds?

-Eric down with son Lucas yesterday afternoon cutting tees, collars and greens, and repairing some of the bad spots on the greens.  Mentioned that we really do need some rain.  Maybe some today, later.

-Remember the first part of April last year?  Days with temperatures in the 70's.  Looking for more of the same, please.
